Thank you to the Band Students, their Families, our Directors, our Sponsors and our many Donors!
This project has done so much more than raise money for the new uniforms, it has forged a team, created new friends, built new business relationships, and engaged new volunteers. We are proud to be part of a project that shows how all kinds of people can come together with hard work and generosity to make something wonderful happen in Knoxville.

The Uniform Drive
THANK YOU, Knoxville!
We have surpassed our $60,000 fundraising goal for new Uniforms!
Thanks to our amazing, supportive community and many volunteers, we raised over $75,000 for our new marching band uniforms in 2016-2017!
The uniforms are now ordered, and we will have a thank you ceremony at the first home football game.
Money raised beyond the goal made it possible for us to invest in practical improvements, such as adjustable snap hems that will extend the new uniforms’ durability.
Mr. McCartney is exploring the purchase of drum major uniforms, which weren’t part of the original goal. The Music Boosters also plan to invest in the future, placing money in a secure fund as seed money for the next uniform drive, around 2030.

“The community really stepped up to support us,” said Ben McCartney, Knoxville marching band director. “It’s a huge testament to our town and its people. The band kids jumped in and worked hard. Their families pulled together. It’s been a huge team effort, and everyone will be really happy when they see the result next fall.”
The band kicked into double-time during August and September. Amid preparation for Homecoming and their first band competition last Saturday, band members reached out to business leaders, who responded generously. Middle-school musicians helped HyVee serve a tailgate party, and fans filled band members’ hats with cash at the football game.

Thank You to these Generous Donors!
